Millions of innocent animals are 'euthanized' each year. If you are thinking of adding a loving fur or feather 'friend' as your 'forever' companion please consider the below Rescues. Animals are suffering in our 'immediate gratification/throw away society', and many Rescues are at capacity.
Please consider donating, fostering or adopting from these heroic Rescues, who are saving lives, one loving animal at a time....

Mikey is the latest puggie saved from death...he was at our pound with an unimaginable skin infection. He is safe today, and getting the care he needs. He will be placed in a foster home pending a stable bill of health. Please consider a donation for Mikey's care, which can be made at www.pugsavers.com

PUG Rescue:
www.pugsavers.com This is the Rescue that I work with. They have pulled together many dramatic rescues. Last September Roxane asked me to foster Jack, he was suffering from demodectic mange, and a serious eye injury. I quickly became a 'foster failure' and Jack became my 'heart' pug.
www.rescuepugs.com This Rescue does amazing work servicing Southern Nevada...though they also eagerly support ALL Rescues' when foster homes are scarce.
CAT Rescue:
www.divinefelinespurebredrescue.org/ This Rescue is located in Northern Nevada, and specializes in rehoming of himalayan, persian, maine coon, ragdolls, snowshoes and exotic shorthair cats and kttens. They are a new rescue and have some lovely cats that need caring, forever homes. DFPR is supported by adoption fees, donations, and fundraising efforts of their volunteers.
People doing GREAT Things:
For those of you living in Sacramento, please check out the Amigas SWIM Thrift Store, 406 12th Street, Sacramento, California 95814. One of my daughters' friends, and her mother have opened a Thrift Store that will benefit Teen Mothers. They are planning a whole program of from education to support that will give these Mom's the tools they need to be successful.
The store is beautiful and full of many unique items. For those of you, who are cleaning closets, please consider donating to this great cause....
