Artist's Statement
Photography to me is a combination of luck, patience and a little skill. The perfect photos come along at fleeting moments and can rarely be replicated.
All of my work is shot on film and no image manipulation is done to these prints, I don't "do" digital. To me it is like taking a car and driving to the end of a marathon. Yes, you get to the end, and you used some nice equipment in the process, but it's just not the same.
There may be imperfections in my subjects. That's just the way life is. There are imperfections in everyone and everything, but that does not make it any less beautiful.
No flowers were cut and no subjects were moved or harmed to take these photographs. While I might have found a better light or a more distracting background, I do not believe in harming anything to get a better photograph.
I hope that my photographs will evoke positive feelings and be appreciated for their representations of beauty that exists in the world.
