Artist's Statement:   

I have always been fascinated by color, texture and design.  My opportunity to 'try' watercolor came 3 years ago through a 'girls weekend' in Bodega Bay with Pat and Debby.  Pat introduced me to the emotional and exhilarating experience of blending color with water.  I was addicted. 

During the next several works, I began to play with oil/water color, and then on to oil mixed with linseed.  Today I continue to experiment with watercolor, watercolor on canvas, oil, and am looking forward to producing a mixed media design.

I am forever grateful to Pat for the introduction to painting and the guidance and inspiration she continues to provide for me.

I am the mother of two wonderful young adult children, and lucky owner of 2 precious pugs, Hannah and Jack, and 1 independent British Shorthair kitty, Kate, and 1 loving himalayan kitty, Itty Bitty...

The Black and Fawn Gallery is MY dream in the making.....

Jack came to us on the very special day of September 26th 2006.  He was to be my 'foster' pug from PugSavers...I knew within an hour of having him that he would not be leaving...he is my 'heart pug'....
